Destiny's Architect

I travel the vast distances between lands searching for the answers to life's many questions. With curiosity as my guide, I will discover my destiny.

I am a soldier of the Light. Everyday I struggle against the forces of darkness, both in our realm and inside my own heart. The darkness trembles in my presence. I am the gentle hand that reassures the frightened. My goal is the protection of innocent life and to uphold the peace and tranquility of that innocent life. I am driven by love, compassion, and courage.

I am a warrior of the Darkness. I am the weapon that has slain the mightiest of armies and has conquered all who have dared to oppose me. Even the strongest of empires have fallen by my hand. The mere mention of my name is enough to drive terror into the souls of my enemies. My goal is to inflict the pain and suffering of my experiences on to those who are weak. I am fueled by my anger, my hate, and my aggression.

Who am I? I am a gamer. It is not that I have chosen not to live my life, it is that I have chosen to live many. This is my story.

Horrified

It's a beautiful sunny day here at Alamo Rent A Car as I prepare a 15 passenger van for a reservation the following day. The vibration from the pressure washer is almost numbing to my hands. My ears are filled with the soothing sounds of Jim Brickman as I wash the remaining soap suds off of the vehicle. The mist from the washer is cool to my skin and cancels out the heat from the sun. Suddenly, a new sensation appears on the back of my left hand. It's a very slight sensation like dust landing on a hair. I ignore the feeling at first, but then it happens again... and then again. Each slight twinge grows in annoyance until, finally, I twist my hand around only to be met with the purest of terrors. A spider. A spider was crawling across my hand! I burst forth with a manly howl! Most may have said a girlish scream but this is my tale so, I burst forth with a manly howl. I shake my hand with a great ferocity; so desperate to lose my unwanted visitor. After what seemed like an eternity, the spider finally lost its grip and falls to the ground. I proceed to take volcanic vengeance against the spider with an unmatched prejudice. I stomp as furiously as possible; slamming my boot down on its lifeless body time and time again. Its reign of terror was over. No longer will that arachnid be able to terrorize another innocent victim. With victory in my voice, I shout out, "What now!" Satisfied with my kill, I turn to return to my work. There stood my manager staring at me with a puzzled look. Whether that puzzled look was out of amusement or thinking I was mentally unstable, I do not know. I quickly motioned to the ground and simply stated, "spider." That was all that needed to be said. True story.
